- 2 Best Choice t-bone steaks
- 2 tbsps. of olive oil
- ¼ cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 red or yellow bell peppers (quartered)
- 2 tbsps. of red wine vinegar
- 1 large red onion (sliced ½ inches)
- Seasoning: 1 tbsp. of minced garlic, 2 tbsps. of dried basil
Mix seasoning ingredients and 1 tsp. of pepper. From that mixture, press 4 tsps. onto the t-bone steaks. Add parmesan cheese, vinegar, and oil to the remaining seasoning mix. Mix them well.
Set the steaks on grid over medium, ash-covered coals. Place the vegetables around the t-bone steaks. Grill the t-bone steaks uncovered for about 14 to 16 minutes for medium-rare to medium doneness, flipping infrequently. Grill the bell peppers for about 12 to 15 minutes and onion for about 15 to 20 minutes or until they are tender, turning once. Brush the vegetables with the cheese mixture during the last 10 minutes of grilling. (Alternatively, set the steaks on rack in broiler pan so they beef surface is 3 to 4 inches from the heat. Set vegetables around the t-bone steaks. Broil steaks for about 15 to 20 minutes for medium-rare to medium doneness, flipping only once. Broil the vegetables until they are tender, turn them as necessary. Brush vegetables with the cheese mixture during the last 3 to 4 minutes of broiling.).
Slice the t-bone steaks. Season with pepper and salt. Serve steaks with vegetables.
